How long does it take to transition to working in Ireland with the help of Careers Club International?

The time it takes to transition to working in Ireland can vary depending on individual circumstances. However, the first membership term is for 2 years to allow immersion in the language and progress to a Level 7 IELTS equivalent

What is Careers Club International?

Careers Club International is a private members club dedicated to supporting qualified International Nurses in their ambition to move to nursing opportunities in Ireland.

What are the language requirements for Membership? 

Nursing practice in Ireland requires a proficient level of English (IELTS Level 7 or OET equivalent). Therefore, we feel that applicants should have achieved an Intermediate level of proficiency to be admitted as a member. Our online English language courses are delivered by some of the very best qualified EFL teachers who deliver each class according to the level required. These classes will provide a module on Medical English and are specifically designed to help you improve your language skills and fluency to meet the requirements.

How long are the work placements in Ireland?

The duration of work placements in Ireland is two years at a minimum which is the same duration as the first work permit for your placement. Our team will work closely with you to ensure a well-structured placement that aligns with your goal to be able to practice your profession with an Irish Healthcare provider. If you do not advance sufficiently in the two-year placement, while your membership expires, you are still free to renew your work permit with your employer once you have gained the FETAC level 5 Award.

How much Nursing experience is required to become a member?

We require all applicants to have gained two years of practical experience working in a hospital or clinical setting post graduating with your Nursing qualification.
